In this series I will be writing about my experiences of Bett2020 – products, impressions – in vignettes of exactly 100 words. Why 100 words? Because I wanted to see whether or not it was possible. I will try where appropriate to provide links to further information.

The scalability problem is rendered more acute when you discover several products you like the look of, all priced in a similar way. For example, at Bett2020 I looked at a learning management system and a safeguarding system. But if a school went for two or three products or services it would probably go bankrupt. That’s why services like the London Grid for Learning (now a national concern), which bundles a whole lot of services together and then makes them available to schools for one subscription are worth exploring. I’m not sponsoring the LGfL, just suggesting looking at one-stop shops.
