Archive: Computers in Classrooms newsletter
Fictitious Computers in Classrooms cover — generated in Ideogra.ai
In 2000 I started the Computers in Classrooms newsletter to provide news, views and ideas for heads of IT, Computing or ICT, and ICT co-ordinators in schools. Back then, the idea of having computers in classrooms, as opposed to a dedicated computer lab, was quite forward thinking.
Interestingly enough, or perhaps depressingly enough, many of the issues facing schools and teachers today in terms of ed tech are similar to those of a quarter of a century ago. Obviously, websites come and go, the nomenclature changes and so on, but the issues — well, judge for yourself. I am gradually uploading the past issues here, but the links mostly no longer work of course. (But some do!)
A few years ago, the newsletter was relaunched as Digital Education, and is still going strong.
Anyway, here’s the archive. Keep coming back to check for updates.
Enjoy.
