Tranquility

I’ve decided that I spend so much time at my computer that my desktop background needs to be calming. Here’s the photo I chose.

It's good to slow down occasionally

I was thinking, what do you do to make your environment less frenetic? What, if anything, do you do in your classroom? When I was Head of ICT in a secondary school, I made sure that all the computer labs (remember them?) were adorned with spider plants. Spider plants have good detoxifying properties, and look nice as well. Moreover, it made the rooms look less like classrooms or sweat shops.

I like to think, too, that it was by creating a more natural environment that  I was able to avoid vandalism. In fact, come to think of it, I never experienced any  vandalism against the equipment.

I suppose it could have been the Vivaldi I often had playing the background!
