Coming soon: Digital Education Christmas 2021

DigEd xmas, by Terry Freedman

Coming soon (probably tomorrow, 21st December 2021), a bumper small edition of my esteemed newsletter. It contains some interesting stuff, including advanced notice of a fantastic prize draw in which you can win a ‘credit card'-sized microprocessor that allows you to create projects and then download them to the device. It includes 25 LEDs and a sounder allowing you to create music. This will be free to enter, but only to subscribers. Thanks to Richard Smith of Amazing ICT for offering that. (Amazing ICT offers training, support and workshops in the areas of Computing and Online Safety. For details see www.amazingict.co.uk, or call Richard, Computing Curriculum and E-safety Support, on 07527 464322.)

I’ve kept the newsletter small deliberately. Usually I aim for something of slightly less than War and Peace proportions, based on my view that if you can’t read a few million pages a day then you’re not really trying. However, as we’re all knackered — especially teachers and headteachers/principals — I thought I’d give people a break. It is the season of goodwill, after all. (I hope you don’t regard this unusual display of magnanimity on my part as setting a precent: I fully intend my 2022 newsletters to creep up to their previous levels.)
