Adobe Helps Nurture Young Creative Talent with New Online Courses for UK Students

Adobe has rolled out an exciting series of online courses called Adobe Generation, which are designed to help students between the age of 14 and 19 develop new skills that will put them in a better position when exploring career options in the creative industry.

Check out Adobe Generation! The courses cover three digital disciplines: Animation, Photo Imaging and Games Design, providing students with a real-world perspective on different creative careers. Each week, students hear what it’s really like to work in the industry from experts including games designer and animator Luke Whittaker.

The courses have been designed to give students the technical skills that their future employers will be looking for, as well as to inspire them in their choice of career, whether they fancy working on the next Call of Duty or Hollywood blockbuster. Students are taught a different aspect of their chosen discipline each week, such as learning how to create a panoramic image, as well as specialist digital skills using Adobe software, including Adobe’s Creative Suite 6. At the end of each session, students are then set different tasks to put the skills they learned into practice.

Liz Wilkins, Senior Marketing Manager, Education at Adobe UK said: “Helping students learn new digital skills has never been more important. We wanted to create a set of courses which would inspire and excite them about the future opportunities these skills can open up to them.

It’s also a great way for teachers to learn more about digital skills, which they can go on to integrate into their own lessons.”
